Cafeteria Plans
A Cafeteria Plan provides each employee with a fixed amount of "credit dollars" to spend on employee benefits. The menu of plan benefits affords each employee the ability to design a personalized program that will best suit their needs. Should the total cost of the benefit options selected by an employee exceed the amount of employer credits then, the employee can fund the additional cost with their own pre-tax dollars.
A Cafeteria Plan can offer different types of health plans, such as an HMO, PPO or Indemnity program. Employees may also purchase optional coverage's such as, life insurance, short and/or long term disability, dental and vision care and more.<
